The most important thing I value in my life is integrity and I believe that it is the foundation to achieving a better life for myself. I also value the courage I frequently need to face my fears and take on new challenges. Lastly, I value the respect I have for myself and for others and the fact that I strive to treat others the way I want to be treated.
What I love:
I love my friends and my family. I would not be where I am today without their love and support. I love to dance- I have been ever since I was five years old. I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially summer weekends with my family at our cabin. I especially love when I achieve something I have worked hard for.
What I hate:
I hate being betrayed and lied to. It tears me up inside when someone I care about breaks my trust. I also hate seeing people that I love in pain. I dislike when I disappoint the people who depend on me and when I do or say something that hurts those in my life. Most of all, I hate the lack of confidence I have in myself sometimes and when I fail to achieve something I have worked hard for.
What I am good at:
I am good at communicating and building relationships with all different types of people. I am also a very flexible person and can respond willingly to the demands of the moment. I tend to look at the positive side of a situation and embrace change. I pride myself on having the willingness to succeed in everything I do in my life. Finally, I am a good listener because I really listen to people and make them feel like what they are saying matters.
What I am proud of:
I am proud of everything I have achieved thus far in my life. I am also proud of the relationships I have built along the way. I am honored to be a member of Alpha Chi Omega, which has become such an important part of my life. I pride myself on being able to keep up with the demands of being a full-time student, having a part-time job, and being involved with my sorority. Lastly, I am proud to be a person that my friends, family, and co-workers can depend on for anything.
What I want to be:
I want to change the world in some shape or form. I want to be involved in something that contributes to the betterment of society. I also dream of traveling the world and experiencing the diversity and cultures people from across the globe have to offer. However, first and foremost, I cannot wait to intern somewhere and actually get involved in the world of advertising. Eventually, I also want to settle down and start a family of my own. In conclusion, I want to strive to be successful in all aspects of my life and utilize my strengths and talents to their full potential.
What is important and valuable to me:
It is important to me to work hard to achieve my goals in life. I want to live up to and even exceed people’s expectations of me. I want to take advantage of every opportunity handed to me that will take me one step closer towards attaining success. I also want to make sure to learn from my mistakes and not make the same ones in the future. Finally, it is very important to me to surround myself with the friends and family who I look up to most and who will be there to support me no matter where I end up in life.
What I want to be known for:
I want to simply be known for just being me. I don’t want to ever have to change my morals and everyday values for anyone or anything. I want to strive to become the person that others can depend and count on for anything. I also want to be known for having a positive impact on the lives of the people around me.

The E-Trade baby video campaign has been hugely successful. This newest “Jealous Girlfriend” commercial that was aired during the 2010 Super Bowl just reiterated how genius the campaign really is. Rather than pushing uninspiring ads out to consumers, E-Trade has created advertisements that are so memorable people take the initiative to seek them out on the internet as well. That is when you know you have a successful advertising campaign for your company. Not only is the baby discussing economics in an adult voice, but in this particular advertisement he deals with adult issues, such as a jealous girlfriend and a love affair with a “milkaholic”. This kind of advertising is fun, funny, effective, and it’s a form of cultural social activism that attempts to shift us away from past trends of boring and unimaginative advertising.

My name is Lauren and I am currently a freshman at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I am from Omaha, NE and have lived there my whole life. I attended Skutt Catholic High School and graduated with full honors in 2009. I am a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority at the University and love it. I was elected Assistant Philanthropy Chair this past semester because I am very passionate in giving back to the community. I really enjoy the arts- I have danced for most of my life and have always liked to sketch and paint. I would not be where I am today without the love and support of my friends and family.
I am an Advertising major with a concentration in Marketing at the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. I want to concentrate on the public relations side of advertising. I joined the “Advertising Club” this semester and plan on traveling with them to New York for the “Awny Conference” in the fall to meet potential employers of many different big-name advertising companies. I am really looking forward to getting my name out in the advertising business so I can start applying for internships as early as next semester. I am confident I will be successful in the career path I have chosen. I am a very independent, dependable, and positive person. I am also a very flexible person and can respond willingly to the demands of the moment. I am motivated by the fact that I know people in my life depend on me and by my willingness to succeed in everything I do in my life.
